Nesting Frigatebird on North Seymour

Located approximately 30 minutes from the northern shores of Santa Cruz, small North Seymour Island is our #7 pick for best places in the Galapagos.   Due to its close vicinity to the Baltra Airport, North Seymour is frequently the first or last stop on a Galapagos Cruise.   Going ashore visitors will see sleeping sea lions, nesting blue footed boobies and frigate birds, land iguanas, swallow tailed gulls and yellow warblers.

Visitors staying on Santa Cruz will find North Seymour is the best island available for day tours. Normally combined with Bachas Beach, North Seymour is an uninhabited island, rather than a town – where wildlife is the highlight.  North Seymour offers a great wildlife experience, as well as being close.

North Seymour diving is one sites in the central islands.  The waters are home to sea lions, schools of rays, garden eels, colorful fish and sharks including white tips, Galapagos Sharks and hammerheads.

North Seymour offers an excellent wildlife walk, great snorkeling and exhilarating diving making North Seymour our #7 choice for places to visit in the Galapagos.
