Finch Bay Update

Finch Bay Resort

The Finch Bay Resort will reopen today after damage caused by the Tsunami.   Approximately 1 meter of water entered portions of the hotel.  6 of the guest rooms sustained damage and are currently being repaired and will return to use in the future.  The other 21 rooms did not suffer any damage.

The walkway that connects Finch Bay with the dock was also destroyed in the flood and being repaired.  Guests of the hotel will need to take a walk on the beach until it is repaired.

The Finch Bay is the only beach front hotel on the island of Santa Cruz and the only hotel that owns and operates its own boats allowing guests the opportunity to visit the uninhabited islands while staying at the resort.
